ASL Glossary: 401k 403b
An employer-sponsored retirement plan. Money is withheld through payroll deduction, and you can save up to $18,500 of your pretax income ($24,500 if you are 50 or older). If you leave that employer, you can rollover the funds to your new employer’s plan or to an IRA. Some employers also make matching contributions based on a percentage of the employeeÍs salary.
